Hempfield Water Authority
The vision that led to creation:
The water authority had been discussed for 20 to 30 years and had public support, but Landisville and Salunga were not designated as boroughs, and therefore had no legal status. Then the Municipal Authorities Act of 1935 created a vehicle for change.
Visionaries who brought the vision to reality:
- Jesse Snavely, Jr
- Norman Bowers
- Earl Godshalk
- Paul Baker
- J. Miller Eshleman
- Michael Musser
- Henry Koser
- Simon Minnich
- John Swarr
- J. Harry Grube
